Phil is presently running the following action-learning style workshop, designed for community-based organisations:

Forming Effective Partnerships

Businesses are becoming more sophisticated in the ways that they partner with non-profit organisations. In the past it was about donations or ‘transactions’, such as corporate volunteering. Today, they want fewer but deeper relationships.

This overall trend is positive for non-profits, who can get access to additional resources available in the private sector. However the reality is that, to be successful, community-based organisations need:

  1. A partnering mindset
  2. A dynamic and innovative culture
  3. Strong management and professional competencies; and
  4. A good understanding of their own strengths and how they are of value to others.

 
This one-day workshop program is tailored to directors, executives and managers of community-based organisations who are seeking to improve their partnering capacity. They will produce a partnership ready blueprint by the end of the session.

Improving Strategic Focus

The current operating environment is challenging for all organisations: the economy is flat, the market for customers (or funding) is hyper-competitive and technological advances are changing industry dynamics overnight.

To sharpen up, or at least stay relevant, in this environment, you need to extract a higher return on the most important assets in your organisation: your people, intellectual property, relationships and capabilities.

Phil runs a half- or full-day facilitated session, which has the following components:

  1. Identifying the foundations of organisational performance
  2. Mapping your key strengths, capabilities and glaring weaknesses
  3. Putting these attributes play in the context of your organisation
  4. Developing broad strategy options; and
  5. Improving the focus of your management resources
